Erik Lamela is a transfer target for Inter Milan.
According to a report in The Mirror the Spurs midfielder is being lined up for a summer switch back to Serie A.
Lamela arrived from Roma in a £28m deal in 2013 but has failed to live up to expectations and isn’t expected to play again this season due to injury.
With Mauricio Pochettino well on his way to shaping his own side it’s unlikely that his fellow Argentinian features strongly in his plans.
Although the move to Spurs hasn’t worked out the 25-year-old is still highly rated in Italy where he established himself during two seasons with Roma.
Inter are hoping to interest Spurs with an offer of £10m but Daniel Levy is unlikely to accept that sort of fee.
If the offer could be raised to £15m a deal could be struck to the satisfaction of all parties with Lamela welcoming a return to Italy.
