Everton line up bid for Pickford

|

Everton have targeted Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford to take over as their first choice keeper.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Ronald Koeman wants to ensure that the England hopeful is bound for Goodison in the summer.

Pickford has been the only consolation in a grim season for Sunderland and seems certain to quit the Stadium of Light, especially if the Black Cats are relegated.

Koeman has had impressive reports come back on the keeper and saw him in action last week when he faced Everton after two months out injured.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with the 22-year-old but with the future of Arsene Wenger uncertain Everton are hoping to cash in. Liverpool are also believed to be interested in the keeper.

Sunderland will be looking for upwards of £25m for their prize asset but Koeman has been promised that they funds are in place to challenge for a Champions League spot next season.
