Chelsea believe that they are favourites to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko.
According to a report in The Mirror the Monaco midfielder has indicated that he’d prefer a move to Stamford Bridge despite attention from clubs across Europe.
Bakayoko was outstanding for Monaco in the Champions League win over Manchester City, scoring the decisive third goal to take his side through to a meeting with Borussia Dortmund for a place in the semi-finals.
At 22 years of age he has just earned his first call up into the French international team with Antonio Conte hugely impressed by his development this season.
With N’Golo Kante making his mark in the Chelsea midfield Conte believes that Bakayoko would be the ideal player to compliment the former Leicester man.
Monaco have a £52m clause in Bakayoko’s contract but with the money pouring in from a title success and Roman Abramovich’s backing Chelsea will be big spenders during the summer.
