Stoke will join the summer bidding for Hamburg midfielder Walace.

According to a report in The Daily Mail Mark Hughes’ side are the latest Premier League side to be alerted to the young Brazilian.

Walace joined Hamburg from Gremio during the January transfer window but after just two appearances in the Bundesliga he is in demand with Everton and Leicester already watching him closely.

Hughes is keen to freshen up his side with younger talent and was made aware of Walace while he was playing in Brazil.

With Stoke well clear of the relegation battle the Welshman can plan in advance and will have Walace scouted throughout the remainder of the season.

Hamburg came in with an £8m bid for the midfielder which Gremio happily accepted although as in most South American transfers it’s likely that the other parties will see a cut of that deal.

With two full caps for Brazil the 21-year-old looks ready made to make a big impact in the Premier League.
