Cedric Soares is believed to be a transfer target of Barcelona.
According to a report in The Telegraph the Spanish giants have compiled a list of right-backs to sign in the summer that includes the Southampton man.
Soares joined Southampton in the summer of 2015, the same transfer window that unearthed Virgil van Dijk, but until now it’s been the Dutchman that has been the target of transfer speculation.
Barcelona are drawing up a short list, which also includes Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, to take over the problem position which hasn’t really been filled since Dani Alves left the Nou Camp.
Laeix Vidal has been the regular right-back this term but his season is over after breaking an ankle earlier this month.
Soares signed a new Saints contract last summer which ties him to St Mary’s until 2020 but a massive offer from Barcelona would be hard to turn down for the Euro 2016 winner from Portugal.
