Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be his dream signing.
According to a report on Sky Sports, de Laurentiis admitted to having dinner with the Swede in Los Angeles.
Ibrahimovic opted to sign a 12 month deal with Manchester United ahead of Napoli and others but his future beyond the end of this season is unclear.
The striker claims that he has matched the criteria to trigger a further 12 month deal but it seems that there is a delay in rubber stamping that option.
If there is any get-out option in the contract Napoli would certainly be at the front of the queue for the 35-year-old striker.
Having already played for Juventus and Milan there’s little doubt that Ibrahimovic would settle quickly if he decided to return to Serie A.
In 34 appearances this season Ibrahimovic has scored 20 goals, including 15 in the Premier League to the delight of Jose Mourinho.
