Diego counting the cost

Diego Costa will be banking an incredible £30m/year when he completes his summertime move to China.

According to a report in The Sun a deal has all but been agreed that will give the striker the money he craves with Chelsea collecting £70m to invest in a replacement striker.

Costa tried to force the issue during the transfer window but when Chelsea stood their ground he had to back down but the club know that there is no chance of getting the Spaniard to commit to a new contract.

Antonio Conte has reluctantly accepted that he will lose his top scorer at the end of this season with the search for a replacement well underway.

Celtic’s Moussa Dembele is one option but it’s more likely that an established name will be brought in to fill the hole created by Costa’s departure with Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morato the latest name to be linked with a big money move to Stamford Bridge.
