Leeds United have been linked with a move for Emilio Izaguirre- along with Sheffield Wednesday.

According to a report in The Sun the left-back is wanted by both Yorkshire clubs who have their eyes on promotion.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season with serious contract talks still to begin for the Honduran who played in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.

Izaguirre lost his place in the Celtic side early last season to teenager Kieran Tierney but is back in favour after Tierney suffered ankle ligament damage in a training session.

With Tierney poised to return from injury Izaguirre faces another stint on the sidelines as his contract comes to an end.

Staying at Celtic would be his preference but with little chance of first team football a move to Leeds is bound to appeal with his family very settled after six years in the UK.
