Steven N’Zonzi has turned down the chance to join Everton.

According to a report in The Sun the Seville midfielder has rejected the chance to go to Goodison with Juventus, Manchester City and Spurs also interested in the 28-year-old.

Ronald Koeman is desperate to bring in new faces during the transfer window but is hitting a brick wall when it comes to convincing top players to believe in his plans for Everton.

With Seville still involved in the Champions League the former Stoke and Blackburn midfielder is in no rush to move down to a club that has struggled to qualify for the Europa League in recent seasons.

N’Zonzi moved to Seville in 2015 for £7m from Stoke but has come on leaps and bounds playing in the Spanish league.

With Seville sitting in third place in the table the 28-year-old is in no rush to leave but the opportunity to treble his wages will be difficult to resist.
