West Ham’s scatter gun approach to the transfer market continues with a third bid, believed to be around £12m, put in for Scott Hogan.

According to Sky Sports the offer has been made to Brentford as talks continue over a deal to transfer the striker across London.

Last week West Ham missed out in offers for Jermain Defoe, Hogan and Robert Snodgrass and suffered the embarrassment of publishing a website article pointing at Moussa Dembele of Celtic then backing down.

Slaven Bilic is looking to strengthen every area of his side but has placed an emphasis on a striker which explains their interest in Defoe, Hogan and Dembele.

Brentford signed Hogan from Rochdale in 2014 with the League One side due a 30% cut on any future transfer.

It’s believed that Brentford are looking for £15m for the striker which would allow them to clear £10m after Rochdale have had their cut.
