Manchester United are willing to let Marouane Fellaini leave in January- but not on loan.

According to The Mail the midfielder will be allowed to leave Old Trafford next month with half a dozen Premier League clubs showing interest.

Fellaini has been in and out Jose Mourinho’s side this season and has been a long time target for the boo-boys.

The Belgian internationalist is in his fourth season at United and would cost around £20m to buy with Davie Moyes likely to be at the front of the queue.

Moyes signed Fellaini for Everton and Manchester United and would love to make it a hat-trick of deals by taking the 29-year-old to the North East.

West Ham were linked with Fellaini earlier this week but would be unwilling to commit £20m while they are involved in a relegation fight.

Moyes survived a scare earlier in the season and with three consecutive wins has convinced his directors that he can keep Sunderland up.

Bringing in the goal threat and battling qualities of Fellaini would be a big statement of Sunderland’s intentions to steer well clear of the relegation battle.
