Everton won’t stand in Ross Barkley’s way if they receive a suitable offer for the midfielder from Tottenham.

According to a report in The Express Ronald Koeman is relaxed about any bids coming in for the 23-year-old.

Everton have previously rejected enquiries from Manchester United and Liverpool but now Koeman is prepared to listen to offers and could sell Barkley as soon as January.

News leaked out earlier this week of interest from Spurs who are keen to supply Harry Kane with attacking support.

Barkley is at his best playing in an advanced midfield role and would be happy to consider a switch to London after becoming disillusioned by life under Koeman.

Playing alongside half a dozen England players should do his international prospects the world of good.

Barkley has 18 months left on his Goodison contract with Everton hoping to get £35m for the midfielder if he moves on in January.
