Chelsea are preparing a £40m bid for Radja Nainggolan of Roma.
According to a report in The Sun the midfielder is being lined up as a replacement for Oscar who has now left for China.
Nainggolan has been in outstanding form for Roma but the Italian side are unable to compete with the personal terms on offer from Chelsea.
At 28-years-of-age the Belgian international is at his peak and is in his eighth season playing in Serie A after a four year spell with Cagliari.
Antonio Conte had money to spend before the Oscar windfall arrived and is determined to ensure that there is no let up in Chelsea’s bid to regain the Premier League title.
Although Nainggolan is under contract until 2020 a bid in the region of £40m could bring Roma to the negotiating table with the player bound to be interested in working with Conte and the prospect of Champions League football.
