Callum Paterson (Hearts)
In recent years, we’ve grown used to Celtic sweeping up some of the best young Scottish talent in the Scottish Premiership.
Making moves to land Stuart Armstrong, Gary Mackay-Steven, Scott Allan and Ryan Christie in recent years, somebody who should be in the Bhoys’ sights is Hearts right back Callum Paterson.
Still just 22-year-old and now having burst onto the scene with Gordon Strachan’s Tartan Army, Paterson boasts plenty of Scottish top flight experience having been in Hearts’ first team since 2012.
In the summer, the Scottish Sun claimed Hearts could cash in on Paterson amidst Celtic’s interest but not occurring then, the defender’s contract runs out in 2017 so the Tynecastle club could cash in this January.
With Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa approaching their thirties, Paterson represents a younger alternative.
