Still yet to score in his underwhelming West Ham United spell, the Hammers are currently pondering a trade that would see Simone Zaza join Napoli in return for Manolo Gabbiadini, report the Daily Star.

Twenty-four-year-old Gabbiadini boasts 14 goals in 48 Serie A appearances for Napoli but the report claims Slaven Bilic is still deciding whether he’s the man to turn the Hammers’ season around.

Much publicised of late, Zaza has a clause in his Hammers deal whereby the East London club would trigger his permanent signing for £20 million based on appearances.

But with the Italian international having flopped in the Premier League, the 25-year-old was an unused substitute in the Hammers’ squad to face Stoke City last weekend, suggesting he could become an outcast up until January.

The Daily Star’s report claims that talks are already underway for Zaza to sign in Naples at the turn of the year although West Ham United are still yet to make their minds up about Gabbiadini.
