Following on from the Cedric Soares to Barcelona rumours recently, Southampton have now reportedly formalised a bid for right back alternative Laurent Jans, report ClubCall.
According to Luxembourgois newspaper Le Quotidien, Claude Puel has already made an offer for the 24-year-old Waasland-Beveren right back.
A Luxembourg international of 29 caps to date, Jans is only rated at €1 million by Waasland-Beveren and he could prove a bargain January pick up by Saints where he’d compete with the likes of Cedric Soares and Jeremy Pied at full back.
That is if Southampton retain the services of Cedric in the New Year who has been outlined by Barcelona boss Luis Enrique as a transfer alternative to Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.
With an offer reportedly already on the table by Southampton, we await news of Waasland-Beveren’s response but that said, the report claims Aston Villa, Huddersfield Town, Stuttgart, Werder Bremen and Anderlecht are all interested in the player.
