Former Manchester United winger, Jesper Blomqvist has tipped Henrikh Mkhitaryan to become “a star” at Old Trafford (ESPN).
The United faithful have yet to see the best of the 27 year-old Armenian who cost around £30 million, but Blomqvist believes he just needs time.
“He can definitely become a star,” Blomqvist told MUTV. “United is a big club and it takes longer to settle in for some players.
“Maybe Henrikh needs a little more time to settle in but, when you see how he reads the game and what he has achieved elsewhere, it’s surely only going to be a matter of time before he shows us what he can do at Old Trafford.”
Mkhitaryan has made just 4 Premier League appearances and United boss Jose Mourinho criticised him at the start of November for not doing enough to cement a starting place over Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial.
The winger remains determined to live up to his transfer fee and called Mourinho “one of the best in the world” as he vows to rediscover the form which earned him Bundesliga player of the season for Dortmund last year.
