Vincent Kompany

Another player that joined early in the process, there is certainly an argument to be had that Kompany is Man City’s greatest ever signing.

He has fallen upon hard times as of late, after a string of injuries, but through all of Man City’s success in recent years – he has been the focal point of it.

Kompany is the leader on and off the pitch – and without him, City would likely never have achieved as much as they have.

When on form, he is easily one of Europe’s finest defenders – and his leadership skills are paramount.
