Fabian Delph’s signing was a strange one at the time – and the ex-Aston Villa man has done very little to prove his worth at the Etihad.

He has been second-string for the entirety of his spell in Manchester, and he has rarely looked good in comparison to some of his more high-profile teammates.

There is definitely potential there, but he isn’t good enough to play for Man City every week – and Guardiola would be wise to move him on.
