Maarten Stekelenburg
He missed Everton’s 2-0 victory over West Ham United with a foot injury but first choice Maarten Stekelenburg is expected to be back for tomorrow evening’s game.
For a long while, the veteran Dutchman was Everton’s sole signing in the summer and he did little to inspire the Toffees’ fanbase but in truth, Stekelenburg has been solid enough in his early Everton career to date.
Taking over from Tim Howard was never going to be easy given the American’s successful long stint at Goodison Park but the club could do a hell of a lot worse than the experienced Stekelenburg.
