Aiden McGeady (Preston North End)

Somebody who has never truly been able to get a solid grip on his Everton career since signing back in 2014 is Aiden McGeady.

Having earned 85 caps for the Republic of Ireland international side, McGeady definitely boasts skill and trickery but it’s been putting it together consistently that’s proved his undoing at Goodison Park.

A flair player who stood out during his six-year association with Celtic, McGeady has struggled with the step up in class to the Premier League and now finds himself on loan in the Championship with Preston North End.

Make no mistake; a player of McGeady’s international and Champions League experience is highly valued in the Championship and when fit, the winger has started all six of North End’s matchday squads he’s been named in so far.

Scoring once so far, McGeady scored an equaliser to make it 1-1 against Barnsley in September before Adam Armstrong struck a wonder-goal winner at Deepdale.
