Inter Milan have been linked with a move for Alexis Sanchez.
According to a report in The Mirror, picking up on an Italian source, Inter are planning a €150m spending spree with the Arsenal striker at the top of their wanted list.
Sanchez spent five years at Udinese before moving on to Barcelona and Arsenal and would have no problem returning to Serie A if a new deal can’t be agreed with Arsenal.
The 27-year-old is under contract at The Emirates until June 2017 but talks over a new contract have been dragging on with the players advisors holding the upper hand.
It’s believed that Sanchez is looking to double his current £130,000 a week salary and could pick up those sort of terms in China or if he allows his contract to run down.
Arsenal face a similar problem with Mesut Ozil whose deal also expires in 19 months time.
If the club refuse to pay the players what they feel they are worth replacements are unlikely to come in much cheaper and are also likely to involve a transfer fee.
