Jose Mourinho has been cursing his luck at United’s injury crisis ahead of this Saturday’s showdown with Arsenal (Express).

The United coach whose side sit 6th in the league could be missing as many as seven first team players for Saturday’s lunch-time kick off.

Wayne Rooney is a doubt after interim England boss Gareth Southgate insisted it was a knee injury keeping him out of the midweek’s friendly with Spain.

Other possible sidelined teammates include Antonio Valencia, Marouane Fellaini, Luke Shaw, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is suspended.

Meanwhile, the United coach has reportedly ordered a review of United’s medical set-up in a bid to improve procedures at the club (The Independent).

Mourinho has never lost to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in the league and can take hope from United’s last victory over the Gunners. It saw a depleted United win 3-2 in a game where Marcus Rashford scored a brace on his Premier League debut.
