Despite having seen his spells at Manchester United and West Ham United break down, Newcastle United are poised to enter the race for Lazio’s Ravel Morrison this January, report SportsMole.
According to Italian source CalcioMercato, the 23-year-old is attracting interest from three English clubs this January with the midfielder having failed to settle in his career so far.
Also interesting Hull City and Aston Villa this winter, Morrison’s Serie A spell hasn’t gone to plan either and he’s reportedly available for just £600,000 in two months’ time.
Failing to make any of Simone Inzaghi’s matchday squads in Serie A so far this season, Morrison has found himself outcast for yet another spell in his career with attitude problems marring his progress to date.
Having also spent his fair share of time out on loan so far, Morrison enjoyed his most productive spell for QPR in 2014 where he bagged six goals in 15 appearances for the Loftus Road outfit.
Signing Morrison doesn’t come without risks but if this latest report is to be believed, Rafael Benitez is willing to look beyond his past to give him another shot in English football.
