While Steve Bruce will be lining up ready-made Aston Villa transfer targets for January, his side are also locked in a six-team battle to land 14-year-old Polish star Kacper Masnego, report Read Aston Villa.

Despite having some years to go in order to perform at first team level, the Wisla Krakow youngster must boast bags of potential with Derby County, Norwich City, Liverpool, Schalke and Hertha Berlin all interested in the teenager.

According to the report, Masnego was watched by multiple scouts from England during a recent Four Nations youth tournament and his current youth coaches are incredibly proud of the overseas interest.

Speaking to the Derby Telegraph recently, Wisla Krakow academy director Rafal Wislocki claimed: “It shows that the boys, who train at the Academy are similar – or even higher – level, in relation to their peers abroad, with English and German clubs.”

Wislocki’s statement appears to be true considering the fact that when Arsenal moved to sign Krystian Bielik from fellow Polish club Legia Warsaw in January 2015, the teen had already made five first team appearances prior to joining the Gunners.
