While everybody associated with Celtic knows that it would take a huge turnaround in fortune to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League this term, that feat is still possible.

Drawing 1-1 at Borussia Monchengladbach at Borussia Park last night, Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops are still bottom of Group C (2 points) but can still catch second-placed Manchester City (7 points) in the two remaining games.

Ahead of last night’s game, Rodgers spoke at length about how the Champions League is a great learning experience for the Bhoys this term and the fact it may take two to three years to qualify for the knockout round.

And despite toiling their way to the group stages this year, there have been flashes of bright play from the Celtic Park outfit, especially in the cracking 3-3 draw with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Last night’s game in Germany was incredibly frustrating for Celtic fans to bear because they know their side could and should’ve won the game late on with Monchengladbach down to 10 men and Callum McGregor wasting a golden chance.
