The manager hasn’t been sacked yet!

You may laugh but the point remains; Garry Monk is still in charge at Elland Road!

With the axe having fallen early upon the likes of Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic and Uwe Rosler down the years, the general football public has been pleased that Garry Monk is receiving the time he needs to build something great at Leeds United.

Sitting ninth in the Championship and though to the last eight of the EFL Cup, he isn’t giving Massimo Cellino many reasons to sack him right now and hopefully, he lasts the entire season, even if the Whites fall away somewhat.

One of the highest rated young English managers around alongside the likes of Eddie Howe, Monk was rather harshly dismissed by his beloved Swansea City but somebody who always speaks well and plays a good brand of football, Monk needs time to firmly imprint his stamp in West Yorkshire.
