A peripheral figure at Chelsea so far this season, Cesc Fabregas will reject any approach from West Ham United this January with a European switch being his personal preference, report The Express.

According to the Daily Star, the Spanish international is only interested in signing for a top European club in January with a West Ham United switch carrying much more baggage.

Having only made a single Premier League start against Arsenal so far this term, it looks increasingly likely that Fabregas will seek pastures new to receive more game time in the New Year.

The Daily Star’s report claims that AC Milan actually came close to offering Fabregas an escape route in the summer transfer window but Fabregas took his chances under new Blues boss Antonio Conte.

The report also claims that Chelsea will look to subsidise Fabregas’ wages if he completes a loan away from Stamford Bridge in two months’ time.

As for West Ham United, Mark Noble hasn’t looked like his usual consistent self this term with Slaven Bilic still trying to work out his best starting eleven at London Stadium.
