|

He recently claimed he snubbed a summer switch to Arsenal and now, Monaco full back Djibril Sidibe has emerged as a transfer target for North London rivals Tottenham, report HITC.

According to Italian source Gazza Mercato, Spurs have joined Napoli and Juventus in the race to sign the 24-year-old who continues to interest the Gunners.

When speaking to The Mirror recently, Sidibe claimed he turned down a summer switch to Arsenal over fears he wouldn’t receive enough playing time.

In truth, he’d experience the same issue if he were to sign for Tottenham any time soon with Mauricio Pochettino having re-energised Kyle Walker’s career with Spurs having conceded the fewest amount of Premier League goals (4) this season.

A French international nowadays of course, perhaps Sidibe could sign at White Hart Lane if Kieran Trippier were to be moved on with the former Burnley full back having interested Southampton over the summer.
