Having impressed early on into his season-long loan spell at Schalke, the German club are ready to pay Tottenham €19 million to permanently sign Nabil Bentaleb, report 101GreatGoals.com.

According to Liberte Algerie, the Gelsenkirchen-based side reportedly have a purchase option to sign the Algerian international for €19 million which Tottenham are set to sanction.

Joining the Bundesliga outfit on loan in August, it is understood that Bentaleb’s permanent switch to the Veltins Arena would take effect next summer and not in the January transfer window.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino significantly strengthened his midfield this summer with the signings of Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama and it would appear that there is no room left for Bentaleb anyway.

Failing to score a single Premier League goal for Spurs in 46 appearances, Bentaleb has found the net three times in his first eight Bundesliga appearances with Schalke.

Central to Markus Weinzierl’s plans in the Royal Blues’ midfield right now, Bentaleb’s loan has gone as swimmingly as he could’ve expected.
