Serie A star’s unhappiness alerting Chelsea right now

|

He only moved to Inter Milan two months ago but Brazilian international striker Gabriel Barbosa is already unhappy at San Siro and Chelsea have been alerted to his situation, report talkSPORT.

According to Calcio Mercato, the striker is starting to get itchy feet over his lack of playing time and is thinking about his future this early on into his Inter spell.

With the Blues having tracked ‘Gabigol’ in the summer, the 20-year-old snubbed interest from England and fellow suitors Leicester City to join the Nerazzurri for £25 million.

However, Gabriel Barbosa has cut a frustrated figure in Serie A so far with the striker having only achieved 16 minutes of action under Inter boss Frank de Boer.

With the Dutchman favouring former Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic as his preferred centre forward at present, Gabigol has been waiting in the wings but it appears patience is running thin.

In many ways, if Chelsea were to plot another swoop for the Brazilian, he could find himself in exactly the same situation at Stamford Bridge with £33 million summer signing Michy Batshuayi having struggled for game time so far.

With Antonio Conte playing one up top and with Diego Costa in superb form so far this season, first team chances for Gabigol in West London might be even harder to come by.
