He’s only played a bit-part role under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United this term and now, Wolfsburg are interested in the signature of Memphis Depay, report The Express.

According to Dutch source Metro Nieuws, the Netherlands international is frustrated over his lack of game time at Old Trafford at present.

Memphis claimed: “A supporting role is not for me. I’m a player who is happy with the fact that he is under contract with Manchester United.

“This is my dream club, but I want to play.”

Having only started a single Red Devils fixture against Northampton Town so far this season, Memphis faces the unenviable task of trying to usurp the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this season.

A £25 million arrival from PSV Eindhoven under Louis van Gaal in June 2015, this just haven’t worked out for Memphis at Old Trafford so far with the Dutchman having only scored an underwhelming two goals in 32 Premier League appearances.

With Julian Draxler having been keen on a Wolfsburg exit, Memphis would represent a like-for-like replacement at the Volkswagen Arena.
