He’s just completed a two-week trial spell at Liverpool and now, 17-year-old Uruguayan striker Agustin Davila is keen to formalise a transfer to the Reds, report IBTimes.

Currently on the books of Atletico Penarol, Davila emerged on the Reds’ radar having scored in excess of 100 goals at youth team level and it now appears as if Jurgen Klopp’s side have a decision to make.

Davila did his hopes no harm at all by registering in the Reds’ recent 2-0 friendly victory over Walsall although the final decision on his future appears to be down to his parent club.

According to the IBTimes’ report, Atletico Penarol may have reservations about allowing Davila to join Liverpool so readily after losing another hot prospect Federico Valverde to Real Madrid Castilla earlier this year.

Understood to be in attendance for the Reds’ recent drab 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Anfield, Davila would be unlikely to feature for Liverpool’s first team right away if he signed.

The likely scenario is that Jurgen Klopp’s men would find suitors from either Italy or Spain to guide Davila in the next phase of his development according to the report.
