It’s back to EFL Cup action for Arsenal tomorrow as Arsene Wenger’s men welcome Reading to Emirates Stadium in the fourth round.

Having disappointingly only managed to draw 0-0 with Middlesbrough in North London on Saturday afternoon, Gooners will know they cannot afford any complacency in any competition.

That said, with the League Cup the lowest on Arsene Wenger’s list of priorities each and every season, we do expect a second string Arsenal side to appear in this one.

The good news is that the second string performed admirably to sweep aside Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last time out and with heavy competition for places at Arsenal right now, this is an ideal opportunity to impress.

As for Jaap Stam’s Reading, the Royals have only won one of their last four league games in the Championship while tying two and losing the other.

And who could forget when these two met at the last 16 stage of the competition in 2012 when the sides played out an absolutely incredible 5-7 (AET) game at the Madejski Stadium?

With Reading 4-0 up after just 35 minutes, Arsenal completed an incredible comeback on that occasion and if this game is half as exciting as that one was, neutrals will be in for a treat this time around.

Without futher ado, This Is Futbol have devised what we believe will be Arsene Wenger’s chosen starting eleven for the EFL Cup game against Reading.
