They’re up & running in all three competitions
Since the opening weekend defeat to Liverpool, Arsenal have contested fixtures in the Champions League and EFL Cup of course.
The good news is that Arsenal are up and running in both competitions with four points from six in the Champions League having already played PSG away, not to mention a 0-4 victory over Nottingham Forest in the League Cup to reach the fourth round.
The underlying theme is that Arsenal’s increased squad depth has served them well this campaign with everybody from David Ospina to Emiliano Martinez to Lucas Perez having performed when called upon.
Although he hasn’t featured a great deal thus far, Lucas’ brace at Nottingham Forest would’ve been particularly pleasing for Arsene Wenger while Petr Cech’s deputies have performed well with no signs of being rusty when given their starts.
