Liverpool have been heavily linked with a January swoop for Inter Milan’s Geoffrey Kondogbia lately but now, AC Milan have entered the race for his signature, report The Express.

With the Rossoneri having seen Riccardo Montolivo suffer a knee injury on Italy duty recently, Vincenzo Montella’s team are now keen on the Frenchman as an ideal replacement, according to CalcioMercatoWeb.

As has been widely discussed of late, Kondogbia is out of favour at Inter under Frank de Boer who has publicly criticised him for poor performances.

CalcioMercatoWeb‘s report claims Inter are holding out for a massive fee for Kondogbia given the fact he’s still contracted with the Nerazzurri until 2020.

Given the fact AC Milan are bitter rivals of Inter, a swoop would be incredibly ambitious on Inter’s part and perhaps this should offer a boost to Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp having reportedly sounded out Anfield chiefs over a move.

Making just four appearances for Inter so far this season with the Frenchman an unused substitute on three occasions, it appears Kondogbia is a disposable member of Frank de Boer’s squad right now.
