Manchester United could face difficulties in swiftly wrapping up a deal for Valencia’s teenage starlet Fran Villalba according to the player’s agent, report Manchester Evening News.

While the 18-year-old only boasts a €4 million release clause in his contract at Mestalla, Villalba’s agent Vicente Fores believes Valencia could dig their heels in negotiations.

Speaking to Sport Witness, Fores claimed: “With me [contact has been made]. Just a contact to know his situation. They’re already aware.

“I don’t know about Valencia. But I reckon they will make it hard. We’ve just started talking. It’s up to United.”

With Manchester United having already made contact for Villalba, the Red Devils can feel buoyed from the fact the teenager is yet to be included with Valencia’s first team so far this season.

Currently representing Valencia B, Gary Neville interestingly gave Villalba his first team debut during his spell with Los Che last season.

Boasting a contract with the La Liga club until 2021, Manchester United see a price tag of €4 million being low risk for a player with bags of potential given his age.
