He was on Liverpool’s radar in the summer despite the Reds not willing to pay £20 million but now, Inter Milan are preparing a huge £27 million bid for Jonas Hector, report HITC.

According to German publication Express, the Nerazzurri are willing to blow their transfer rivals out of the water by lodging this huge bid to take the FC Koln left back to San Siro.

A member of Joachim Low’s Germany squad that were eliminated at the semi-final stage of Euro 2016, Hector is an experienced international of 24 caps who appeared ready-made for Liverpool.

With James Milner filling in at left back this term to deputise for the error-prone Alberto Moreno, Jurgen Klopp surprised Reds supporters when not moving to fill the position in the summer transfer window.

While it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would’ve gone back in for Hector due to Milner’s success at full back, it appears unlikely that the Reds would match the £27 million on offer from Frank de Boer’s Inter Milan.

Unwilling to act upon the defender’s reported £20 million price tag in the summer, this bid could price the Merseyside giants out of any deal for the 26-year-old.
