Barcelona’s interest in Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin has been much publicised but the Catalan giants have drawn up a list of transfer alternatives to replace Aleix Vidal, report IBTimes.
According to the publication, Vidal has made it clear that he wants a Camp Nou exit in January and now, Luis Enrique’s side are interested in Valencia’s Joao Cancelo, Shakhtar Donetsk’s Darijo Srna and Juventus’ Stephan Lichsteiner as replacements.
This shortlist of transfer targets will buoy Arsenal supporters who will be hoping they can hold onto star right back Bellerin for a longer period.
A transfer for Bellerin was always going to prove difficult for Barcelona to pull off mid-season and IBTimes’ report claims veteran defenders Srna and Lichsteiner are the most likely to join the La Liga champions in January.
As a short-term solution, Luis Enrique has been playing central midfielder Sergi Roberto at right back for the most part this season so far and the Spanish boss has recently claimed any January rival would be a back-up for the stand-in.
