Currently in contract extension talks with Paris Saint-Germain, Presnel Kimpembe has handed hope to Chelsea after stalling over wage demands, report the Daily Star.

The Blues have been linked to Juventus’ Leonardo Bonucci lately but Antonio Conte is also thought to be keen on 21-year-old Kimpembe who has made a breakthrough at Parc Des Princes this term.

Seemingly happy enough in the French capital however, Kimpembe recently told Onze Mondial: “I thought about it [A Premier League switch]. What made me stay?

“Firstly, my family advice. Then I thought about it, and decided to stay.”

Recently called into Didier Deschamps’ senior French national side for the first time, Kimpembe’s current deal at Parc Des Princes runs out in 2018.

Benefiting from David Luiz’s Deadline Day return to Chelsea, Kimpembe has started seven of PSG’s eight Ligue 1 fixtures so far this season.

With Unai Emery’s men desperately trying to tie the centre back down to an improved deal, it appears there is a slim chance that Chelsea could tempt him elsewhere with the defender not happy with the package on offer from PSG at the moment.
