Arsenal are currently enjoying the peak form of Nacho Monreal but they have outlined a swoop for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney as a potential long-term successor to the Spaniard, report The Sun.

The 19-year-old Scotland international has also been interesting Manchester City and the report claims that Arsene Wenger is now pondering a swoop for the Bhoys star.

Recently scoring in Celtic’s 3-3 draw with Manchester City in the Champions League, the Isle of Man-born left back has enjoyed a meteoric rise since earning his professional debut against Dundee in April 2015.

Appearing 50 times for Celtic in his fledgling senior career to date, Tierney has earned a single senior cap for Gordon Starchan’s Scotland side against Denmark back in March.

The teenager is also a part of the Tartan Army’s squad that face World Cup Qualifiers against Lithuania and Slovakia in the current international break.

Any swoop for Tierney would surely raise question marks over the future of Kieran Gibbs who has firmly been a back-up solution for Arsenal for quite some time now.
