Arsenal have stolen a march on both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign 16-year-old Juventus striker Moise Kean, report The Sun.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Gunners have been closely watching the Italian of Ivorian descent and have enjoyed what they’ve seen from the striker in youth team action.

There is currently a lot of hype surrounding Kean in Italy with the teenager having been named in Massimiliano Allegri’s first team squad as an unused substitute on three separate occasions this October.

Drawing comparisons to Mario Balotelli who also shot to first team stardom in Serie A at a young age, another similarity is the fact Kean also boasts Mino Raiola as his agent.

While no team is yet to formalise their interest in Kean, the fact Arsenal have scouted him already suggests they’re ahead of fellow suitors City and PSG in the race to sign him.

Nevertheless, the report doesn’t mention Juventus’ own intentions for the player who could soon break a record in becoming the first player born in the new millennium to represent a side in Serie A.
