They are blessed with an abundance of top quality central midfielder’s at present but Lyon’s Corentin Tolisso has revealed he’s dreamed of an Arsenal transfer, report Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old has blossomed into a regular first team fixture at Lyon since rising from their youth ranks in 2013 but despite making his name in Ligue 1, he’s already got one eye on his long-term future it seems.

Speaking to France Football, French Under-21 international Tolisso claimed: “Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal.

“I like the Premier League and I think I am well suited to it. It is the league that offers the most competition, it is the most open, the most hard-fought and the most spectacular.”

While Arsenal’s midfield is overcrowded with top talent at the moment, Gunners fans can certainly feel buoyed from the fact Tolisso seems to prefer the Emirates Stadium outfit over the club’s Premier League rivals.

At the same time, a transfer to English shores could prove some way off just yet with Tolisso having also claimed that he turned down interest from Serie A giants Napoli over the summer.

“Once I finally said ‘no’ [to Napoli], my priority has been to a great season with OL,” continued Tolisso.

“I really made a choice of the heart, a sporting choice.”
