5 key issues Mourinho needs to address at Man United ASAP

Drop Marouane Fellaini

He’s now not only lasted the David Moyes era but also the Louis van Gaal spell and now Jose Mourinho’s too.

This fact has quite simply left loads of Manchester United supporters baffled.

Marouane Fellaini has been a mainstay in Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils starting eleven so far in his spell at Old Trafford but against Watford yesterday, it was lacklustre from the Belgian yet again.

Having long looked like a square peg in a round hole in this United team, Fellaini’s afternoon went from bad to worse when he tripped Juan Camilo Zuniga for Troy Deeney’s subsequent penalty late on.

Always susceptible to surrendering cheap fouls, Fellaini was utilised in a midfield three with both Wayne Rooney and Paul Pogba yesterday but the balance looks all wrong right now.

Ander Herrera might be wondering what it takes to get a game but Mourinho needs to find more of an effective midfield trio and ask many United fans and Fellaini would be the man to drop out right now.
