In many ways, Matic was failing to make it into Chelsea’s starting eleven week in, week out last term but Conte seems to be getting more out of the Serbian international again.
Cesc Fabregas has been the man to make way so far this term and with the former Arsenal captain being linked with a January loan move to AC Milan this week, it remains to be seen whether his long-term future is still in West London.
