He was linked in a swap deal for Cesc Fabregas lately but Chelsea might now miss out on signing Carlos Bacca altogether after Paris Saint-Germain joined the race for his signature, report The Express.

AC Milan were considering selling the Colombian international in the recent transfer window and West Ham United were just one side that refused to match his valuation.

But having failed to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer, Unai Emery’s PSG have emerged as frontrunners for Bacca’s signature with Tuttosport claiming that a deal could be about to be struck.

Having failed to start a single Premier League game under Antonio Conte so far this season, Fabregas has been the subject of numerous transfer rumours at the minute but with Chelsea facing Arsenal tomorrow, perhaps he can become a part of the starting eleven again.

As for Bacca’s situation, The Express’ report claims that AC Milan would prefer to receive a fee for the former Sevilla striker rather than completing any form of swap deal.

If that remains the case, a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain looks far more likely right now.
