Group E of the Champions League gets underway tonight with Tottenham Hotspur returning to the competition for the first time since 2011.
Playing their European fixtures at Wembley this season due to the continued renovation of White Hart Lane, there is lots to be excited about if you’re a Spurs fan this season.
With Bayer Leverkusen, CSKA Moscow and tonight’s opponents Monaco making up Spurs’ group, it’s certainly a tougher group for Mauricio Pochettino’s team to negotiate but given their Premier League form last season, the North London side will be expecting to impress.
Monaco have previously done damage in North London of course, defeating Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal 1-3 at Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the last 16 back in February 2015.
The Principality-based side have also pulled off the result of the season so far in Ligue 1 too having defeated French champions Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at Stade Louis II back in August.
With Leonardo Jardim’s side having won three of their opening four games in France, Tottenham will be in for a stiff test this evening but who will start for Pochettino’s men?
