It’s a break from the norm this evening as Arsenal face a potentially tricky third round EFL Cup tie away at Nottingham Forest following their weekend win over Hull City.
A competition that Arsene Wenger has never won in his Gunners’ tenure, the competition seems to have brought the worst out of the Gunners in years gone by and who could forget that final loss to Birmingham City in 2011?
Losing 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the fourth round last year, Arsene Wenger was criticised for blooding too many youngsters on that occasion but experimenting in the League Cup is something the Frenchman enjoys doing.
