It’s a mouthwatering London Derby in prospect at Emirates Stadium tomorrow as Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal take on Chelsea in a tea-time clash.

With the Gunners and Blues both having successfully reached the fourth round of the EFL Cup following their midweek encounters in the East Midlands, it’s also fourth versus fifth in the early Premier League standings.

As every Gooner is all too painfully aware, it’s almost five years since Arsenal last beat Chelsea in the Premier League, running out 3-5 victors at Stamford Bridge back in October 2011 of course.

Having even gone nine hours and 32 minutes without a single goal against Chelsea now, Arsenal fans and Arsene Wenger will be feeling that it’s high time the North London club made a statement against their fierce rivals.

While the Jose Mourinho factor is gone from this fixture, there is still the small matter of Diego Costa who proved the match winner in his own canny way at Stamford Bridge last season.

New boy Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny will have to watch their every step against the Spanish international who leads the goalscoring charts with five Premier League goals to his name so far.

But as we countdown to Saturday’s fixture, This Is Futbol are today trying to second guess Wenger’s chosen starting eleven for the game against Antonio Conte’s Blues.
