They signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer but Manchester United are still interested in signing Lucas Moura according to the Paris Saint-Germain star’s agent, report Football365.

Lucas was a long-term Red Devils target during Sir Alex Ferguson’s reign back in 2012 before the Brazilian international joined PSG but agent Wagner Ribeiro believes Mourinho is keen on his 24-year-old client.

Speaking to the Bola da Vez broadcast, Ribeiro claimed: “Who called Lucas Moura there [to Real Madrid]? It wasn’t Florentino Perez who wanted Lucas Moura, it was Mourinho.

“Mourinho was and is passionate about Lucas Moura. So much so that now at Manchester he wants Lucas as well.”

Lucas has enjoyed a successful three-year spell at Paris Saint-Germain, winning four Ligue 1 titles in that time but the former Sao Paulo wasn’t always an automatic starter under Laurent Blanc.

Starting the new season in sensational form under Unai Emery however, Lucas has already registered four goals in six appearances for the Parc Des Princes outfit but it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will formalise a bid.

Boasting Anthony Martial, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Memphis Depay, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard who can play on the wings, space would have to be created for a signing such as Lucas.
